Types of Pearls

Pearls arte famous for an accessories and additional beautification especially in women’s body. It comes in wide variety of types, sizes and colors. And some of them are rare that cost too much money. Let us see here what the different types of pearls are.

Natural Pearls – this are only performed by nature and no instigation from human. These are form around irritant. This are the most rare pearl today and the most valuable pearls which is it has become as part of antique jewelry.

Cultured Pearls – this are like the natural pearl but unlike natural pearl the irritant of this pearl are already introduced by man in whom the oysters are raised in a controlled environment.

Japanese Cultured Pearls – this are the originally cultured by the Japanese industry. In which there it comes in different colors such as white, cream, gold and rose. And it has a smaller size than the south sea pearls. And the large sizes of this are the rare one.

Freshwater Cultured Pearls – this are pearls that are farmed in fresh water and grown in mussels. There cultivating technique are usually produced twenty or more pearls in just one oyster. This oyster of this fresh water pearls are smaller than a salt water pearls.

Saltwater Cultured Pearls – they are the one that farmed in a saltwater and grown in oysters. It also takes a long time for more than two years and half to get them harvest and only one pearl per oyster grown.

Keshi Pearls – this are a very small kind of pearls that produced by pearl culturing process.

Mabe Pearls – this will be created when human attaches a plastic dome inside of the oyster shell and the covering will reacts the dome with nacre.
